Many driveways (usually between 500-1000 square feet) can be installed in one day. Paved driveways will be ready for full automobile traffic the following day.

A standard residential driveway is usually 2-3 inches of compacted asphalt over a properly prepared aggregate base. Heavier vehicles or steep slopes may require driveways to have 3-4 inches of asphalt.
